Bio:
Cathy grew up outside of the Village of McComb on a dairy and grain farm. She graduated from McComb High School in 1976. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Findlay. Cathy taught fifth grade for seventeen years at both McComb and Cory-Rawson. She earned her master's degree in Supervision from the University of Dayton as well as additional post-master certifications. She served several school administrative roles within Hancock County for over eighteen years. In 2015, she retired with thirty-five years in education. After retirement she worked three years as a part-time administrator for Lima Perry School. In 2011, Arcadia High School was awarded the prestigious "National Blue-Ribbon High School" under her guidance, a first for any school in Hancock County. Cathy was recognized as McComb's Outstanding Alumni in 2019.
Following retirement Cathy and her husband, Jim, moved from the country to the Village of McComb. Cathy has one daughter and two stepsons. She cherishes time spent with the four grandchildren all age six and under and is looking forward to number five this June.
In her spare time, she enjoys landscaping, gardening, decorating and being outside. She also likes to travel and especially likes to go to sunny, warm beaches whenever she gets a chance.
